1. Who we are

HapiTech is operated by Aaron Gomm, a sole trader trading as "HapiTech", based at 2 Deer Walk, Oxford, OX4 7XX. Contact: aaron@hapitech.dev. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

2. Website design & development services

Enquiries made through the contact form aren't a binding agreement — they're the start of a conversation. Any actual work (website builds, ongoing support, hosting management) is agreed separately, in writing, on a per-project basis covering scope, price and timeline. These website terms don't replace or override a separately signed agreement or quote for client work.

3. Client portal

If we've given you access to the client portal, it's for you to view information about your project or account. Keep your login details confidential — you're responsible for activity under your account. Let us know immediately if you think your access has been compromised.

4. Solar Journal

Solar Journal is a free, personal project — an interactive solar-system explorer with an optional journal feature. By creating an account you agree to:

• only post content you have the rights to, especially uploaded images
• not post anything illegal, abusive, or infringing on someone else's rights, even in private entries
• understand that anything you mark "share publicly" is visible to other Solar Journal users
• accept reasonable storage/upload limits (currently 15MB per image, 2 entries per celestial body)

We can remove content or suspend/delete an account that breaches these terms, at our discretion, particularly for anything illegal or abusive.

Solar Journal is provided "as is", as a hobby project. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uptime and it isn't a paid, contracted service unless separately agreed otherwise.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the HapiTech website, its design and its code remain the property of HapiTech. Content you submit to Solar Journal (journal text, images) remains yours — by posting it, you grant us a licence to store it and display it back to you (and, for entries you mark public, to other users) as part of the service.

6. Liability

We'll do our best to keep our sites and services running reliably, but we can't guarantee they'll be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or Solar Journal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update. Significant changes will be reflected in the date above.
